EDITION D.100 & D.100 PLATIN
KPM Berlin is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus in Dessau with the Edition D.100. The aviator cup, designed by Marguerite Friedlaender, features a geometric decor in black, which chief designer Thomas Wenzel developed as a nod to the HALLE Vase B100.

Originally created as a design study in the 1930s, the aviator cup was reissued to mark the 260th anniversary of the KPM Berlin. Today, it ranks among the manufactory’s most popular designs and, like almost no other object, embodies the Bauhaus principle of “form follows function”: the cup and saucer fit together perfectly, forming a duo that is both slip-resistant and stable.

The striking black decor lends the historic form a graphic presence and emphasizes its architectural character. The Edition D.100 is available in small and large versions.

The Edition D.100 Platin combines the graphic Bauhaus-decor with a saucer that has been hand-finished with platinum. The fusion of clean geometry and masterful craftsmanship adds a distinctive touch and reinterprets the aviator cup in a unique way.
