KPM BERLIN AND SUCUK & BRATWURST LAUNCH THE LIMITED-EDITION "SPORTEA: THE KETTLEBELL TEAPOT"
The Royal Porcelain Manufactory Berlin and the Berlin-based creative studio Sucuk & Bratwurst present “SporTea: the Kettlebell Teapot,” a porcelain art object that bridges the worlds of sports and tea enjoyment: a tea pot a kettlebell.
Sucuk & Bratwurst’s precise eye for design and pop culture blends with KPM Berlin’s 260-year tradition of craftsmanship. The characteristic shape of the kettlebell—the iconic weight used in strength training—is fully preserved in its striking silhouette and reinterpreted as a sculptural object in delicate porcelain.
From June 10 to 13, the collection will be showcased in Copenhagen as part of the new design platform “other circle” in a specially designed installation. The tea pots displayed on a steel shelf, like weights waiting to be lifted.
Exercise mats and a mirror that makes the room appear larger create the illusion of a modern gym and deliberately blur the line between design object and exercise equipment.

At the historic KPM factory in Berlin’s Tiergarten district, the porcelain body is hand-sprayed with vibrant blue orange in the KPM master painting workshop, and finished with a handle hand-painted with platinum. Embossed on the side—as if cast in iron: “8 KG.” A subtle interplay of materiality, expectation, and perception.
A PORCELAIN ART OBJECT
Where physical exertion usually takes place, the Kettlebell Teapot offers a counterpoint: Instead of grueling exercise, it invites you to take a contemplative break, to slow down, and to enjoy a refined tea tasting—a humorous commentary on self-
optimization, rituals, and modern everyday culture.
The SporTea: the Kettlebell Teapot, a limited edition of 100 pieces per color, is available for 600 euros at all KPM Berlin stores and in the online shop.
