KPM Berlin and Uli Aigner collaborated as part of the Austrian artist's ONE MILLION project. She is pursuing the utopian goal of hand-sculpting one million porcelain vessels herself by the end of her life.

For the KPM+ ONE MILLION BY ULI AIGNER Edition, the artist has translated a total of 150 cup and 150 bowls from the URANIA collection, which Trude Petri designed in 1938 in the spirit of the Bauhaus, into her artistic aesthetic.

The result: A hybrid of Trude Petri and Uli Aigner. The artist first turns into a modified plaster model of the original. The upper part is created in free turning and remains unglazed to create an exciting interplay between rough and glazed feel. The manufacturing process is thus readable in the forms and surfaces.
Each piece in the KPM+ ONE MILLION BY ULI AIGNER Edition features an engraved number, the artist’s signature, and the “ KPM Berlin ” stamp in the shape of a royal blue scepter. These one-of-a-kind pieces are marked on the digital world map via the websitewww.one-million.world.
