The portrait bust from * biscuit porcelain * depicts a detail from the bronze statuette of Frederick the Great with a wind chime, which Schadow designed in 1821–22. Friedrich the Great is depicted in uniform, wearing a sash with medals and a tricorn hat. This bust has often been reproduced in other materials and remains very popular to this day.
